This isn’t a real post. I’m having a garage sale this weekend and I’m mentally and physically exhausted from planning and organizing every night after work. It’s just a list of random stuff I wanted to tell y’all about.
My bestie (you can read her blog here) had some soap made for me for my birthday. It’s in honor of our super long/forever friendship. It’s based upon our song (yes, best friends can have a song) – Calico Plains by Pam Tillis. If you don’t know it, go watch the video. The soap is nothing short of amazing and may have made me tear up a bit when I got it. You can buy some for yourself here. Check out all of their soaps. I sort of want to buy one of each and I know I’ll never buy soap at the store again.
I saw my rheumatologist last week. The good news is that my Rheumatoid Arthritis is still behaving and quiet. No hiccups in my blood work. No visible signs of joint changes or inflammation. Very good. The bad news is that the results of my bone density scan from earlier in the year came back and showed that the slight bone loss in my low back has become full blown Osteoporosis. I’m freaking 40 years old and officially have bones nearly twice my age. Stupid bones. I’ve added a new pill to my regimen – a once a week one that comes with scary warning: DON’T LAY DOWN FOR 30 MINUTES AFTER TAKING. Turns out it can screw up stuff if it doesn’t make it down to my tummy promptly. Fun times.
#Red: Fresh Faith.
My second book, Fresh Faith, is out now as an eBook and in print. You can get it online in all the usual places – Amazon, Barnes and Noble, etc. If you live in the Texas Panhandle, you’ll hopefully be able to get it at my favorite local bookstore, Burrowing Owl Books in Canyon TX. It’s awesome and the owners are the nicest folks ever.
My goat George totally outsmarted me yesterday. He typically spreads his hay all over his stall, peeing and pooping in it and wasting it. So I thought I’d outsmart him and put a small stock tank in his stall. I thought he could eat his hay out of it and not make a mess in the stall and waste hay. He showed me. He climbed into the stock tank, slept in there for a while, and then peed and pooped on the hay. He’s such a punk and I’m not even mad because look at how cute he is. He was so proud of himself.
I probably have more to tell y’all but my lunch break is over and I have to go back to work. Go buy my books so I can quit my day job and write y’all more stories. If you’ve read any of my books, please go over to Amazon and leave me a review. I’ll love you forever.
